I don’t really ask for much when it comes to games. Give me a barren landscape infested with psychopathic midgets, a couple hundred thousand different guns to dispose of said midgets, some Mad Max inspired vehicles and a tragically cliched story about aliens or whatever and I’m good. To me, Borderlands was the perfect game. It combined all these elements with such efficiency that it made you wonder how so many other games managed to screw the formula up time and time again and the whole thing was presented in this gorgeous HD cel-shaded graphical style that looked so much better than reality.
Now, they’re making another one and I will buy it and play it purely for the fact that it’s confirmed to feature a machine gun with fricken rims on it.
