Each year the world’s top timepiece manufacturers set their watches to Central European Time as they descend on the Baselworld trade show in Switzerland. It’s there that they show off their latest and greatest designs, and Casio’s showcase is always one of the big draws. This year they unveiled plenty of exciting new models, with connectivity and functionality at the centre of every innovation.
The biggest G-Shock reveal this year was the MRG-G2000HT ‘Kasumi-Tsuchime’, a new Hammer Tone finish on an all-new MRG. Adding an extra level of appeal through traditional Japanese craftsmanship, the DLC coating applied to the outside has an indigo blue shade. On the inside, the watch features 3-Way Time Sync, meaning it has Bluetooth, GPS and Multi Band 6.
The 2017 Baselworld edition will be limited to 500 pieces worldwide, releasing in September for a cool $7,400 USD.
