G-Shock Australia have teamed up with Perth-based creative powerhouse TA-KU to produce a uniquely nuanced collaborative 5600. Growing up with an eye for quality and detail, TA-KU has always had a strong affinity for G-Shock, demonstrated through the energy and care with which the limited edition design has been executed.
The face features a floral motif inspired by TA-KU’s latest solo album Songs To Make Up To, which pops against a black case and reverse LCD display. With a complementing black Cordura nylon band, the overall piece reflects the artist’s refined style. In addition to a custom case, each watch comes with a special book of TA-KU’s photography – a visual exploration of the people, places and experiences that have shaped his creative journey over the past couple of years. A lucky few will also be able to get their hands on the deluxe version travel case, packed with special treats.
The TA-KU x G-Shock DW-5600 will be available on December 1 at select stockists. But if you can’t wait that long, there will be a limited number available on November 23 at the G-Factories in Myer Melbourne and Sydney.
